Challenge: PLAZA Clinics – specialised in dermatology, allergology, plastic surgery and phlebology in the Zurich Oberland – required a comprehensive modernisation of their digital infrastructure. The biggest challenge was secure digital communication within the healthcare sector.

All workstations across the three clinic sites had to migrate to a HIN‑compliant infrastructure without forcing physicians to change their familiar email addresses. The website also needed a clear structure and new business lines had to be opened digitally.
Solution:
• Website relaunch with HIN integration: messages encrypted to HIN standard; multi‑step booking logic guides patients to the correct specialist
• PLAZA Academy: e‑learning platform with integrated booking and payment as an additional revenue stream for medical professionals and MPAs
• Skincare webshop: sale of own products, standalone and cross‑sold
• Modular Kirby CMS approach: enables incremental extensions with no system switch

Result & Conclusion: The project positioned PLAZA as a digital pioneer in healthcare. HIN integration significantly reduced support requests, while the new website received positive patient feedback.

The Academy is already fully booked, and the webshop generated its first orders immediately after launch. Further modules such as certificates and B2B features are planned.
