Challenge: For its 100th anniversary, Migros wanted to give something back to its loyal customers and create an unforgettable experience. The challenge: 642 stores across Switzerland were to be transformed simultaneously into unique worlds of experience for two days.
The concept had to work across the entire customer journey, from the greeting at the entrance to the service upon exiting the store. The challenge was to master the logistical requirements of a Switzerland-wide event and ensure a consistent, emotional customer experience.
Solution:
• A warm welcome from Migros staff at the entrance with initial MERCI impressions
• Specially designed selfie walls in 80 selected stores as a visual highlight and social media invitation
• Surprise gifts for children and a pampering service with coffee and pastries for all customers
• Transport assistance with loading shopping bags into cars
• Logistical masterpiece: Six specialized logistics specialists prepared all pallets within three days and transported them across Switzerland on 21 semi-trailers

Result & Conclusion: The MERCI Days on May 23 and 24, 2025, were a complete success and demonstrated how well-thought-out live marketing activation works. The event underscored the long-standing bond between Migros and its customers and created positive brand experiences at all 642 locations.

Efficient collaboration within the THRYVE network enabled the seamless implementation of a complex, Switzerland-wide event. Each pallet was individually prepared and loaded – a feat that impressively demonstrated Promotion Tools' expertise in event logistics.

The concept demonstrated how customer appreciation can be translated into a lasting brand experience through well-thought-out touchpoint staging.
